Flights at Dubai International Airport were temporarily suspended on Monday morning. The emirate’s press office announced the measure on social media platform X after a fuel tank caught fire following a drone incident.
Dubai’s civil aviation authority said air traffic was halted “as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all passengers and staff.” Authorities reported no injuries, and the fire has since been brought under control.
Dubai International Airport is normally one of the busiest airports in the world. However, since the start of the U.S.–Israeli war against Iran on February 28, with regular retaliatory attacks in the region, operations have been disrupted.
