Dubai Airports has confirmed a temporary suspension of operations at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) following a safety incident on Saturday where a drone struck the infrastructure.
According to a spokesperson, “For the safety of passengers, airport staff, and airline crew, operations at Dubai International (DXB) have been temporarily suspended. All procedures are being managed in line with established safety protocols.”
Partial resumption of operations began today, 7 March, with some flights operating out of DXB and DWC. Passengers are strongly advised not to travel to the airports unless their airline has confirmed their flight, as schedules continue to be adjusted.
Dubai Airports stressed that it continues to monitor the situation closely with relevant authorities, maintaining a focus on operational safety, security, and the wellbeing of passengers and staff.
