Today the United Arab Emirates General Civil Aviation Authority (UAE GCAA) has announced that it will completely close the UAE airspace for all air traffic to and from Doha until further notice.
This latest move in the troubled Middle East aviation industry comes as no real surprise, as several nations had already announced just few days ago that all Qatar Airways flights would be prohibited from entering their airspace.
As a result of this latest move, not only Qatari A7-registered aircraft operating flights to and from Doha will be refused to enter the United Arab Emirates, but all other aircraft flying this route as well.
We at the General Civil Aviation Authority have closed the airspace for all Air Traffic to and from Doha until further notice. #GCAA #UAE
