On 17 October 2025, Air France inaugurated its first-ever lounge at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, offering travellers an elegant new space to experience French-style tranquillity and refinement before their flight.

Located in Terminal 5, the lounge reflects Air France’s brand image and service standards and is operated in partnership with Global Lounge Network. It welcomes Air France Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible KLM passengers. Covering 470 square meters with 105 seats, it is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Bathed in natural light through large bay windows, the lounge offers uninterrupted views of the runways and a chic, relaxing atmosphere. Designed by Air France teams in collaboration with SGK Brandimage, the space showcases the airline’s winged seahorse logo, vintage posters, and signature colours — shades of blue, bright whites, and touches of red. Soft, enveloping furniture has been chosen for maximum comfort and serenity.

Fine French dining in the spotlight

At the heart of the lounge, a catering area invites guests to savour a French-style culinary experience. With nearly 40 seats and a large communal table, the dining area offers a convivial setting with menus that evolve throughout the day — including beef bourguignon, country-style chicken, and chocolate mousse with caramel cream, alongside vegetarian options.

The menu highlights local and seasonal produce, aiming to reduce food waste and promote sustainability. Water fountains replace single-use plastic bottles, and recycling and sorting are prioritised.

A bar area, inspired by grand Parisian hotels, adds a festive and elegant touch. Staffed by a bartender or self-service, it offers a refined selection of champagnes, French wines, and spirits.

An exclusive Flying Blue Ultimate space

For Flying Blue Ultimate members, an exclusive private area provides four luxurious seats, ensuring privacy, peace, and direct access to all lounge amenities.

Air France lounge essentials

Throughout the space, guests will find comfortable seating to rest, work, or dine. Relaxation areas with ottomans and runway views, a quiet work zone, and a dedicated phone booth enhance comfort and convenience.

The lounge also features eligibility kiosks at the entrance for easy access, free Wi-Fi, numerous power outlets and USB ports, TV screens, and a wide selection of French and international digital press available via the Air France Press app.

With its refined design, exceptional cuisine, and focus on well-being, the new Chicago lounge embodies the art of French hospitality in the heart of America’s Midwest.
