A snowstorm called”Eboni” affects the central region of the Great Plains and the southwest of the United States. Meanwhile, the southeast is facing a risk of floods due to heavy rains expected until Monday.
Due to snowfall, more than 400 flights were cancelled yesterday in the morning and 2,300 were late in the wake of a chaotic first day at US airports, according to the website FlightAware.com specialising in air traffic monitoring.
Since the beginning of the “Eboni” storm, 20 to 30 centimetres of snow has accumulated in some areas. And up to 45 cm could fall in New Mexico, warned the weather services.
