Brussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA) has announced the appointment of Mr. Christophe Segaert as its new Chief Executive Officer, following a unanimous decision by the airport’s board of directors during a meeting held on 2 June 2025. Mr. Thierry Hubert was also named Vice-President of the board, representing the airport’s private shareholder.

Gilles Samyn, Chairman of the Board, expressed confidence in the new leadership team: “The board is pleased to welcome Mr. Christophe Segaert, who will now lead the implementation of BSCA’s strategic plan and master plan, for which a single environmental and urban permit has been requested. We are confident that the airport will continue to achieve balanced growth, aligned with the living environment of local residents, Wallonia’s decarbonisation targets, improved working conditions for staff, and an enhanced passenger experience.”

Cécile Neven, the Walloon Minister responsible for regional airports, also welcomed the appointment: “Charleroi Airport has passed significant milestones in recent years and now faces a range of new challenges. Its future development must follow a long-term vision that balances economic ambition with social harmony, environmental transition, and respect for the surrounding communities. I look forward to meeting the new CEO soon to discuss these priorities.”
