Charleroi (Brussels South) Airport has announced that all departing and arriving flights scheduled for Tuesday, 14 October, will be cancelled. The airport operator cited the planned strike action as the reason, which will result in insufficient staff to operate the airport safely.
The industrial action is being carried out by trade unions in protest against government policy. To ensure the safety of both passengers and staff, the airport has decided not to operate any flights on that day.
Affected passengers will be contacted in the coming days by their airline to rebook or cancel their flights. The airport regrets the disruption caused by the strike and urges passengers to stay in touch with their airline for the latest updates.
