Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a subsidiary of SATS, has secured a five-year contract with GEODIS at Brussels Airport, strengthening an existing partnership between the two companies and expanding WFS’ growing E-commerce & Freight Forwarder Handling (EFFH) network in Europe.
Under the agreement, GEODIS has outsourced all its freight consolidation and deconsolidation activities at Brussels Airport to WFS. The partnership will provide GEODIS with round-the-clock operations, greater flexibility in managing costs and labour resources, and access to WFS’ GDP-certified pharmaceutical handling facilities, including 300 m² of temperature-controlled space.
The contract builds on the companies’ longstanding relationship at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, where WFS has provided cargo handling services for GEODIS since 2021.
WFS said the Brussels operation will also offer GEODIS enhanced digital visibility through real-time operational information, documentation, timestamps and image sharing, supporting both service quality and future business growth opportunities.
