Brussels Airport will launch its summer schedule on 29 March 2026, offering direct flights to 180 destinations served by 70 airlines. The programme includes eight new routes and five new airlines, further strengthening the airport’s position as a key European hub.
Among the highlights is the return of direct long-haul connectivity to South America, with LATAM Airlines set to launch three weekly flights to São Paulo from June — the first such passenger service in 26 years. Other notable additions include Kilimanjaro with Brussels Airlines, Halifax with Air Canada, and Chengdu with Air China.
Within Europe, new connections include Gdansk with LOT Polish Airlines and Asturias with Volotea, while recently launched routes to Chongqing and Larnaca are also part of the summer offering.
The airport also welcomes several new airlines, including Air China and LATAM Airlines, alongside Volotea, Air Senegal and Smartwings. Meanwhile, existing carriers are expanding operations, with increased frequencies and additional destinations across Europe, Africa and North America. Notably, Delta Air Lines will upgrade its Atlanta service to daily flights.
In total, Brussels Airport’s intercontinental network will grow to 41 destinations, spanning North America, South America, Africa, the Gulf region and Asia.
Note from editor: while the outlook for the summer season is strong, the aviation industry remains cautious. Ongoing geopolitical tensions, including the war involving Iran, and persistently high fuel prices could still impact airline operations and capacity in the months ahead.
