Passengers travelling to Brussels Airport-Zaventem by train in November and December should expect service disruptions due to major railway maintenance, Infrabel announced.
The infrastructure manager will renew rails, sleepers, and a concrete slab supporting switches near the airport. The works include replacing five switches, 800 meters of track, and 1,200 meters of rail, marking the second phase of a project whose first stage finished in February 2025.
Work begins November 8–9 with material delivery and continues November 15–December 9, with final finishing scheduled for December 13–14.
During this period, several trains will skip Brussels Airport-Zaventem station, and timetables will be adjusted. Impacted services include:
- IC Brussels Airport–Namur–Dinant
- IC Knokke–Brussels–Liège-Guillemins
- IC Tournai–Brussels–Brussels Airport
- Eurocity Brussels–Rotterdam
- Certain S19 Landen–Brussels–Nivelles trains
Travellers are advised to check updated schedules before travelling and allow extra time for airport connections.
