From 17:00 (today 26 July) air traffic at Brussels Airport was seriously disrupted due to thunderstorms on and around the airport. Between 17:00 and 18:45 all the operations on the ground were halted due to a lightning alert. From fuelling to luggage loading, everything had to be postponed.
Most arriving traffic entered the holdings, other aircraft had to divert to nearby airports. Air traffic can still be disrupted during the evening.
