Last night, the national strike has ended in Belgium. Brussels Airport also resumed operations and expects a very busy day at the airport. Next to the passengers that got stranded yesterday and the day before, new passengers are travelling. Extra staff has been called in to help passengers, but e.g. at the security check and/or passport control you have to provide enough time. If you are travelling today, head to the airport well ahead of your departure time.
“Around 33,000 passengers – even more – are expected to travel through Brussels today, or 11% higher than usual,” the airport said, “we will be busier than usual on 14 February. Therefore we ask passengers that are departing from Brussels Airport on 14 February to come to the airport well ahead of their departure time.”
