Brussels Airport Company has won the IFMA (Infrastructure Facility Management Awards) award, a prestigious prize in the facility management industry that is handed to the most innovative company in the sector. The Infrastructure & Real Estate department of Brussels Airport Company received the award for the speedy reconstruction of the departures hall following the 22 March attacks.
Nearly 300 people worked shifts around the clock to complete a high-quality renovation in the shortest period of time. The team succeeded in doing just that: on the 1st of May, a mere 40 days after the attacks, the activities in the departures hall could be resumed. This award is a nice recognition of this exceptional achievement by the whole team.
