Monday, 28 July 2025, marked the busiest day in over five years at Brussels Airport, with 92,000 passengers: 48,000 departures and 44,000 arrivals. This is the airport’s highest traffic level since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The surge was driven by overlapping holiday schedules and the end of the Tomorrowland music festival, prompting many international visitors to fly home.
Brussels Airport expects 5.1 million passengers over July and August. Travellers are urged to arrive on time, book parking in advance, and review hand luggage restrictions to avoid delays.
