Brussels Airport has inaugurated a new multi-storey parking facility designed to centralise car rental services and support its long-term sustainability and infrastructure strategy.
The eight-floor parking tower, located within walking distance of the terminal, provides over 2,500 spaces across 90,000 m². It will serve as a single hub for car hire operations, replacing dispersed facilities previously located near the departures and arrivals halls—streamlining the passenger experience.
Sustainability is a core feature of the development:
- 650 electric vehicle charging points installed
- 6,000 m² of solar panels, generating around 1,150 MWh annually
- Circular construction approach, with materials from the previous site reused where possible
The project is part of the airport’s broader Hub 3.0 investment programme, which aims to modernise infrastructure and prepare for future growth. Centralising car rental services will also free up space for expansion of the arrivals hall and the creation of a multimodal transport hub integrating rail, tram, bus, cycling, and car access.
A future pedestrian bridge will further improve connectivity by directly linking the new parking facility to the terminal.
