Brussels Airport and HiSERV have inaugurated a new operations facility aimed at strengthening ground handling efficiency and supporting future growth at the Belgian hub.
Located near the airport’s cargo zone, the new building includes 2,000 m² of workshop space, more than 600 m² of offices, and a 2,400 m² courtyard, providing expanded capacity for the maintenance and servicing of ground support equipment (GSE).
The facility is designed to streamline airside operations, with:
Dedicated workstations and specialised maintenance areas
Individual access points for workshops
A dedicated washing zone for equipment
??????????? office and staff facilities
Airport officials said the investment will enhance operational reliability while improving working conditions for employees.
The project forms part of Brussels Airport’s broader strategy to invest in modern, efficient and sustainable infrastructure, reinforcing its role as a key European logistics and cargo hub.
For HiSERV, the new site strengthens its footprint at Brussels Airport—one of its core locations—and supports its continued expansion across Europe. The company manages a fleet of more than 14,000 GSE units and plays a central role in aircraft ground handling operations.
The facility reflects a long-standing collaboration between the airport and HiSERV, which evolved from the former CTC Moyson business and has grown into a major European GSE provider following recent consolidation.
Bottom line: The new HiSERV building enhances airside efficiency, capacity and sustainability, further consolidating Brussels Airport’s position as a major operational and logistics hub in Europe.
