On August 11, Brussels Airport welcomed 20 aviation enthusiasts for its 8th annual Spotters’ Day, chosen from over 165 competition entries. Participants enjoyed rare photo opportunities from a dedicated runway-area viewing spot, capturing aircraft in special liveries such as ITA Airways’ “Born in 2021”, airBaltic’s “Lithuanian Flag”, and Icelandair’s “Bucketlist Xperiences”.
The programme included a technical tour of Brussels Airlines’ facilities, showcasing aircraft maintenance, and a visit to BruMil military airport to see the A400M up close.
Brussels Airport, home to over 70 airlines, has catered to spotters for years, adding two observation platforms in 2018. The event serves as a thank-you to enthusiasts who share their passion and promote the airport worldwide.
