Brussels Airport launches major renovation of Sheraton hotel

Share

Brussels Airport will carry out an extensive renovation of the four-star Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel over the next two years. The hotel will remain open throughout the phased works, which are expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

Façade renovation began during summer 2026, while the main structural work is scheduled to start in mid-2027. The project includes a new glass gallery around the reception and restaurant areas, bringing more natural light into an enlarged lobby with dedicated spaces for guests and other visitors.

All guest rooms and the restaurant will be refurbished, while meeting facilities on the top floor will be converted into additional executive rooms to accommodate high occupancy levels and anticipated future demand.

The hotel’s electrical and ventilation systems will also be modernised, and the roof renovated to substantially improve the building’s energy efficiency.

Opened in 1989 directly opposite the terminal, the Sheraton has served passengers, flight crews and business travellers for more than 35 years. Marriott International has operated the hotel since 2017, while Brussels Airport Company has owned the building since 2019.
