The Belgian Council of Ministers has approved a draft Royal Decree renewing the operating licence of Brussels National Airport, currently managed by The Brussels Airport Company (BAC).
BAC was required to request renewal after announcing plans for a transfer of assets and securities within its indirect shareholder structure—an operation considered an indirect change of control under the Royal Decree of 27 May 2004. The company filed its application with the Federal Agency for Transport Regulation on 22 July 2025.
Following its review, the regulatory agency endorsed the request, paving the way for the renewal of the airport’s operating licence. The draft decree will now be submitted to the King for signature.
