Bordeaux Airport is celebrating the first flights between Bordeaux and Valence with Ryanair and between Bordeaux and Essaouira with Easyjet, departing from the simplified services terminal, billi. The 2 new destinations launch the new flight offer for winter 2018-2019.

Pascal Personne, Director of Bordeaux Airport, explains: “Here at Bordeaux Airport we’re always delighted to set new operations in motion. They bring to fruition all the upstream work put in by the airport teams. These 2 new operated routes have great holiday appeal and will boost our range of winter flights, which is less dense than in summer but still includes 80 routes.

Valencia

Ryanair and Bordeaux Airport are inaugurating the new route to Valencia. It will be operated all year round with 2 flights per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. With this route, passengers can take a direct flight to Spain and bask in the balmy Mediterranean climate in winter. Best known perhaps for its seaside location and rich Gothic heritage, Spain’s 3rd-largest city has an economic vitality, diversity and modernity that may come as a surprise. With its very Spanish lifestyle, Valencia offers a city break combining local gastronomy at the central market and cultural visits to the astonishing City of Arts and Sciences.

Wednesday

Saturday

Rather than awaiting the arrival of its upcoming airbase (next year), Ryanair has forged ahead with development of its Bordeaux network by opening up 3 new destinations for winter 2018-2019: Valencia, Fez and Marrakesh.

Essaouira

We also gathered today to launch the first Bordeaux-Essaouira flight operated by EasyJet. The people of Bordeaux will be able to fly off to the fortified port city of Essaouira with 2 flights per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Essaouira, the city of a thousand colours and aromas, charms visitors all year long with its welcoming vibe and sunny climate. It also gives tourists plenty of reasons to stay: popular spots for surfing and other sea sports, the authentic harbour opening onto the Atlantic, the typically Moroccan feel of the Medina, local cuisine and more. These new routes boost the number of flight options to Morocco from Bordeaux, now totalling 5 winter services (Fez, Marrakesh, Casablanca, Agadir and Essaouira) with 2 brand new routes starting April 2019 (Ouarzazate and Tangier).

Easyjet’s winter schedule will also include a new route to Manchester from 2 November.
