Eurowings and Wizz Air drive Berlin Brandenburg’s winter expansion

Berlin Brandenburg Airport will offer 140 destinations in 50 countries during its winter 2026/27 timetable, around ten more than in the previous season. Approximately 70 airlines will operate between 25 October 2026 and 27 March 2027, with Eurowings and Wizz Air expanding their networks.

Eurowings will serve 40 destinations in 17 countries. From 2 November, it will introduce four weekly flights to Rome and three to Bologna. Daily Dubai services resume on 1 November, followed by twice-weekly Jeddah flights from 12 November. Baghdad joins the network on 10 December with one weekly flight, increasing to two during the Christmas and New Year period.

The airline will also retain Lisbon, Porto and Bilbao for their first winter season. Its Finnish Lapland programme will expand with Kuusamo from 20 December and additional frequencies to Rovaniemi and Kittilä. Seasonal Edinburgh flights will operate between 4 December and 4 January, while Sarajevo returns on 20 December.

Wizz Air’s network will grow to 17 destinations in 13 countries following six additions. Sofia services began in September, with Vilnius following on 26 October. December launches comprise Sarajevo, Milan Malpensa, Pristina and Suceava. Milan will be served daily, marking Wizz Air’s first Italian route from BER.

Longer-haul connectivity is also increasing. Condor launched daily Abu Dhabi flights on 15 October under a codeshare with Etihad Airways, while Qatar Airways will restore three daily Doha services from 1 November. Hainan Airlines plans to deploy Airbus A330-900neos on three of its five weekly Beijing flights.

Other additions include airBaltic’s weekly Kuusamo service from 19 December and easyJet’s twice-weekly seasonal Newcastle flights between 20 November and 21 December. Air Algérie will serve Algiers weekly on Sundays during the winter timetable.

Terminal 2 operating hours will change from 2 November. Passengers travelling with hand luggage only can also use Terminal 1 security, which opens at 04:00, with access to all departure gates.
