Berlin Brandenburg Airport will suspend all scheduled passenger flights on 18 March 2026 after the German trade union Ver.di called a warning strike involving airport employees.
Airport operator Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH confirmed that no regular passenger departures or arrivals will take place during the strike, effectively shutting down scheduled operations for the day.
The operator has informed airlines, ground-handling companies, security providers and other partners about the planned industrial action. Passengers scheduled to travel on the day are being advised to contact their airlines or tour operators for rebooking options or alternative travel arrangements.
The strike is part of broader labour actions affecting Germany’s aviation sector and is expected to cause significant disruption for travellers using the capital’s main airport.
