Nearly 2.5 million passengers passed through Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) in September 2025, an increase of about 24,000 compared to the same month last year, according to preliminary figures.
Despite a cyber attack on Collins Aerospace on 19 September, which temporarily affected passenger and baggage handling at BER and other European airports, operations largely continued thanks to the efforts of airport staff, ground handlers, and airlines. The incident had no major impact on overall traffic volumes.
In total, 17,934 aircraft movements were recorded, only slightly below the 17,979 in September 2024, while cargo volumes rose to over 4,418 tonnes, around 420 tonnes more than last year.
