This week on Thursday, Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) received authorisation from the Dahme-Spreewald district building authority for the fifth supplement to the building permit for the BER Terminal. The fifth supplement is a substantial prerequisite for the structural completion and operation of Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
Dr Karsten Mühlenfeld, Chairman of the executive board of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH said:
We are pleased with the good news that the building authority has granted us authorisation for the fifth supplement today. The good cooperation between the building authority, the Federal Railway Authority, Deutsche Bahn and the airport operating company has paid off. The next step will be to examine what results from this authorisation. The fact that the documents are now available shows us that it is right to continue to pursue the goal of opening BER by the end of 2017.
