Passenger figures have continued to rise in Berlin: in the first six months of the year passenger numbers rose by 11 per cent. Since the beginning of the year, 15.2 million passengers have departed from Schönefeld and Tegel. In the first six months of 2016, Berlin had more passengers than in the whole of 2004. The Traffic Report for June 2016 provides figures on passengers, aircraft movements and air cargo for that month as well as the total since the beginning of the year, always with comparisons to the same period of the previous years.
