Athens International Airport (AIA) saw a 4.1% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic in July 2025, reaching 3.8 million travellers. International traffic rose 5.4% to 2.65 million, while domestic traffic edged up 1.2% to 1.1 million.
From January to July, AIA handled 18.83 million passengers, a 6.9% increase over the same period in 2024.
Flight activity also grew, with 159,665 total flights in July (+6.2%), driven largely by a 9.7% rise in international operations.
Tourism revenues between January and May 2025 hit €4.35 billion, up 12.7%, led by strong spending from Germany, the UK, and the US. However, receipts from France and Italy declined by 7.8% and 4.8%, respectively.
