Athens International Airport welcomed 15.07 million passengers in the first half of 2025—a new record and a 7.6% increase over the same period in 2024. Both domestic (+2.2%) and international (+9.8%) travel contributed to the growth.
June alone saw 3.45 million travellers pass through the airport, up 4.6% year-on-year. International traffic rose by 5.8%, while domestic traffic grew by 1.9%.
Flight activity also increased, with 127,992 total flights from January to June (+6.8%), driven largely by a 10.7% jump in international flights.
