In 2018, 71 million passengers traveled through Amsterdam Schiphol airport. An increase of 3.7% compared to 2017 (68,400,000 passengers). The airport recorded 499,446 aircraft movements, or an increase of 0,5% compared to 2017. The largest Dutch Airport connects Amsterdam with 326 cities, a status quo compared to 2017.

Due to capacity restrictions at Amsterdam, flights are capped at 500,000 per year. That means that some cargo operators moved their operations elsewhere, resulting in a drop of 3,6% compared to 2017. In total, 1.7 million tonnes of cargo (freight) passed the Dutch airport.

Passenger figures at Eindhoven Airport increased 9% to 6.2 million passengers, Rotterdam The Hague Airport welcomed 1.9 million passengers or 10% up.

Note: preliminary figures, full detailed figures will be published in February.
