Dozens of flights to and from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport were cancelled on Sunday due to wind and snowfall reaching the Netherlands in the afternoon.

Schiphol’s website indicated around midday that some 240 incoming and outgoing flights out of 850 had been cancelled. The cancelled flights are mainly European flights, as most long-haul flights remain operated.

KLM, the airport’s main user, told Dutch news agency ANP it had cancelled 65 European flights in the afternoon and evening.
