Swedavia’s ten airports handled just over 3.2 million passengers in June 2026, a modest 0.5% increase compared with June 2025. The overall growth was driven by international traffic, which rose by nearly 3%, while domestic travel fell by 8% due mainly to reduced capacity across the network.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport remained stable year-on-year with just over 2.3 million passengers. International traffic increased by almost 2% to more than 2 million passengers, but domestic traffic declined by 12%. Göteborg Landvetter Airport recorded stronger growth, up 3% to over 560,000 passengers, supported by a 4% rise in international traffic despite a sharp fall in domestic volumes.
Among regional airports, Visby Airport stood out with a 16% increase, benefiting from higher capacity and demand. Malmö Airport also saw international growth, while domestic traffic weakened. Bromma Stockholm Airport remained significantly below pre-pandemic levels, handling just under 13,000 passengers—about 6% of 2019 volumes.
Swedavia noted that international demand continues to expand but at a slower pace, influenced by global uncertainty and higher fuel prices. The network also saw several new routes in June, including Stockholm Arlanda–Shanghai and new Göteborg Landvetter services to Tirana and Riga.
