Share

Swedavia’s ten airports handled more than 2.2 million passengers in January 2026, marking a 7% year-on-year increase and a solid start to the travel year. Growth was seen across both segments, with international travel up 5% and domestic traffic rising sharply by 14%.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport welcomed over 1.6 million passengers, also up 7%, bringing traffic to 90% of pre-pandemic 2019 levels. International travel grew by 6% to more than 1.3 million passengers, while domestic traffic increased by 12%, supported by airlines consolidating domestic operations at Arlanda.

Göteborg Landvetter Airport handled just over 340,000 passengers, a 3% increase compared with last year, corresponding to 76% of 2019 levels. Domestic travel rose strongly by 17%, while international traffic increased by 2%.

Swedavia’s other airports also recorded positive trends, with Ronneby, Kiruna and Visby among the strongest performers. Kiruna Airport set a monthly passenger record for the second consecutive month, with total traffic there 21% above pre-pandemic levels. Bromma Stockholm Airport saw limited activity, with traffic still well below historical levels following minimal operations in early 2025.
