Swedavia’s ten airports welcomed just over three million passengers in October 2025, marking a 5% increase compared with the same month last year. Growth was driven by continued strength in international travel and a notable rebound in domestic demand.
“Passenger numbers at our airports rose by 5% in October compared with last year, with both international and domestic travel contributing to the increase,” said Jonas Abrahamsson, CEO of Swedavia. “At Arlanda, passenger volumes were more than 9% higher, and international travel exceeded 2019 levels — a clear sign of strength for Swedish connectivity.”
Among Swedavia’s regional airports, Luleå Airport recorded the strongest growth, followed by Åre Östersund Airport and Umeå Airport. Ronneby and Visby airports saw weaker performance compared to last year, while Bromma Stockholm Airport continues to experience the slowest recovery following BRA’s suspension of scheduled services.
Swedavia’s October results highlight sustained momentum in international travel alongside renewed strength in domestic routes, reflecting growing demand and a positive outlook for Swedish aviation.
