Swedavia’s ten airports handled nearly 3.3 million passengers in August 2025, up 5% year-on-year, with both international and domestic travel increasing equally.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport led the growth, up 8% overall, including a sharp 32% jump in domestic traffic. Over 2.4 million passengers passed through Arlanda, of which 2.1 million were international.
Göteborg Landvetter Airport welcomed 544,000 passengers, a 3% increase, entirely driven by international travel.
Regional airports saw mixed results: Luleå, Umeå and Åre Östersund posted the strongest growth, while Ronneby, Visby and Bromma lagged. Bromma continues to see weak traffic as airlines shift capacity to Arlanda.
Swedavia expanded its network this summer with 22 new routes (15 from Arlanda, 6 from Landvetter, 1 from Bromma) and welcomed five new airlines: ANA, Animawings, Ajet, SkyAlps and SolaAir.
CEO Jonas Abrahamsson highlighted the positive momentum and airlines’ continued investments in Sweden’s connectivity.
