Swedavia has announced changes to its organisation aimed at cutting costs, simplifying decision-making and improving its response to airlines and other customers. The Swedish airport operator says it wants to strengthen Stockholm Arlanda’s role as an international hub while supporting its wider airport network.
Around 125 positions will be affected, including posts that are currently vacant. Swedavia has given notice of planned redundancies covering 95 positions, primarily at its Stockholm head office.
The changes will reduce roles in support functions and move decisions closer to customers, according to President and CEO Mats Johannesson. Swedavia says this will allow it to focus more closely on airport operations and air connectivity.
The restructuring will begin immediately and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Swedavia says it will provide support to employees affected by the process.
