Swedavia reported continued growth in March 2026, with nearly 2.6 million passengers travelling through its ten airports—an increase of just over 5% compared to March 2025. Both international and domestic segments strengthened, rising by 5% and 6% respectively.
Growth was broad-based across the network, with most airports reporting increases except Kiruna. While international traffic faced some impact from the Middle East situation, overall demand remained resilient.
At Stockholm Arlanda Airport, passenger numbers reached just under 1.9 million (+5%), with international traffic exceeding 1.5 million (+5%) and domestic traffic nearing 378,000 (+4%). Göteborg Landvetter Airport handled over 384,000 passengers (+4%), driven by a near 5% rise in international travel, while domestic volumes remained stable.
Regional airports also performed well, particularly Visby (+28%) and Åre Östersund (+16%), which recorded the strongest growth rates. Bromma Stockholm Airport continued to lag significantly, with just over 5,500 passengers, below 3% of pre-pandemic levels.
Looking ahead, several new routes will launch in April 2026, including connections from Göteborg to Visby and Riga, Malmö to London and Bromma, and Umeå to Helsinki.
