Swedavia’s ten airports saw over 3.2 million passengers in June 2025, up 1% from June 2024, signalling a robust start to the summer travel season. The increase was driven by a 7% rise in domestic travel and a 2% uptick in international travel. Traffic reached 84% of pre-pandemic (2019) levels.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport:
Göteborg Landvetter Airport:
Strongest domestic growth came from northern airports:
Weakest performance: Bromma Stockholm Airport, due to a strategic airline shift toward Arlanda.
15 new scheduled routes launched in June:
Arlanda: 9 new routes (e.g., Porto, Lyon, Istanbul, Keflavik)
Landvetter: 6 new routes (e.g., Reykjavik, Milan, Dubrovnik)
6 new charter routes were also introduced from Arlanda, Landvetter, Malmö, and Luleå.
United Airlines resumed seasonal New York–Arlanda service.
Air Canada resumed flights to Toronto, boosting transatlantic options.
Despite modest total growth, June marked a positive shift in domestic air travel trends and further recovery in international demand, especially ahead of the peak holiday period.
