Swedavia’s ten Swedish airports handled just under 3.2 million passengers in September 2026, up just over 2% year-on-year. International traffic rose 3%, driven mainly by European travel, while domestic passenger numbers fell by just under 1%.
Stockholm Arlanda welcomed almost 2.3 million passengers, up nearly 2%. International traffic rose by just over 3% to almost 1.9 million, while domestic traffic fell by nearly 5% to around 380,000. Göteborg Landvetter handled just over 530,000 passengers, broadly unchanged, with modest international growth offset by an almost 8% decline in domestic traffic.
Visby recorded the strongest percentage growth, up nearly 12%, followed by Ronneby, Åre Östersund and Malmö. Bromma handled just over 14,600 passengers, approximately 7% of its September 2019 level.
Swedavia said domestic capacity was shrinking faster than demand, increasing load factors. Although demand has remained relatively stable, the airport operator warned that rising oil prices and costs could affect both demand and capacity during the winter season.
