Norwegian airports saw over 5 million passengers in July – a 2% rise from 2024 – with Oslo Airport setting a post-pandemic daily record of 100,296 travellers on July 13. Domestic traffic grew 2%, international 1%, while year-to-date growth stands at 4%.
Cargo volumes surged, with 6% growth in July and 11% so far this year, driven by expanded long-haul capacity benefiting seafood exports and direct imports.
From June 20 to August 20, Oslo Airport was forecast to handle 6 million travellers; by the end of July, it had already reached 5.3 million.
Flight movements in July totalled 53,517 (up slightly year-on-year), while reported drone flights jumped 50% to 3,265, continuing a strong upward trend in safe drone use (+30% YTD).
Avinor expects slower growth in the second half of 2025 after a strong start to the year.
