Wizz Air will open a new base at Turin Airport—its seventh in Italy and 40th globally—starting 14 September 2026, with two Airbus A321neo aircraft to be stationed by late October.
The expansion will introduce seven new routes, including Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, and Bilbao, alongside strengthened domestic connections such as Rome and Naples. The move will more than double seat capacity at Turin year-on-year and add around 1 million annual seats.
The investment is expected to create 80 direct and 700 indirect jobs, while boosting connectivity and economic activity in the Piedmont region.
Wizz Air will operate 16 routes to 8 countries from Turin in 2026, reinforcing its position as Italy’s second-largest airline and supporting its broader growth strategy in the Italian market.
