Wizz Air grows passenger numbers by 17.5% in September

LOAD FACTOR INCREASES 1.2 PPTS TO 94.1%

Wizz Air Holdings Plc (“Wizz Air”) announces passenger statistics for September 2018.

In September 2018, Wizz Air continued to expand its network, operations and customer offering with the following announcements:

  • Further investments in Poland with a seventh aircraft being added to its Gdansk fleet and commitment to upgrade its entire Warsaw fleet of eight aircraft to A321s.
  • Network expansion with three new routes announced to/from Poland including the new airport of Oslo in Norway.
  • Customer service enhancements with the introduction of the SITA WorldTracer® service to improve the speed of repatriating mishandled bags to passengers.
  • Continued investment in our people with the launch of the Wizz Air Pilot Academy program in Hungary. This follows the very successful launches of the program in Poland, Bulgaria and Romania already this year.
