A Wizz Air flight on its way from Warsaw Chopin to Oslo Sandefjord had to make an emergency landing in Gdansk after a bomb threat, the Polish newspaper Wydarzenia Interia reports on Wednesday. Passengers had to be evacuated.
Wizz Air flight W6 1515 from Chopin airport in Warsaw to Oslo’s secondary airport Sandefjord, operated by Airbus A321 registered HA-LXP, had to land in an emergency at Gdansk Airport after the pilots were advised of a bomb threat on board. Gdansk Airport will be temporarily closed as a result of the emergency landing. The passengers safely evacuated the aircraft.
SAS flight SK759 from Copenhagen to Gdansk (operated by CRJ900 registered EI-FPT) was diverted to Warsaw Chopin as a result of the temporary closure of Gdansk airport.
Earlier, Polish media reported a bomb threat on another plane that took off from Warsaw the same day. This plane was going to Prague, with an emergency landing at the airport there.
