Wizz Air flight W9-5390 from Pozna?, Poland, to London Luton (Airbus A321neo registered G-WUKP) was forced to make an emergency landing at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport after smoke filled the cockpit.
The crew issued a Mayday call, prompting a major emergency response including ambulances, fire trucks, and a medical helicopter. Over 200 passengers were safely evacuated with no injuries reported.
The pilots were checked by medics but required no treatment. The cause of the smoke remains unknown.
Wizz Air dispatched a replacement aircraft from London and offered affected passengers compensation in the form of WIZZ vouchers.
