Wizz Air A321neo at Berlin Brandenburg Airport

Wizz Air is expanding its operations from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), adding Bucharest to its network and increasing flight frequencies to several existing destinations for the 2025/2026 winter season.

New Route: Berlin–Bucharest

  • Up to five weekly flights: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays (plus select Wednesdays in December and January)
  • Aircraft: Airbus A321neo
  • Flight time: approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

Frequency Increases

  • Varna (Bulgaria): now 4x weekly (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun) — +2 flights per week
  • Chisinau (Moldova): 4x weekly, increasing to 5x from Dec 16 — +2 to +3 flights per week
  • Tirana (Albania): now 6–7x weekly — +1 to +2 flights per week

Overall, Wizz Air will operate 33% more flights and offer 44% more seats from Berlin this winter, thanks to increased use of larger, fuel-efficient A321neo aircraft.

Looking Ahead: Summer 2026 Additions

  • Bratislava (Slovakia): 4x weekly from March 16, 2026
  • Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina): 3x weekly from March 30, 2026

With these expansions, Wizz Air continues to strengthen its position as one of Berlin’s leading low-cost carriers, offering passengers more choice and capacity across Central and Eastern Europe.
