Wizz Air expands at London Luton with slots from TUI, 15th based aircraft and six new routes

Wizz Air has acquired additional take-off and landing slots from TUI Airways at London Luton Airport, enabling the airline to base a 15th Airbus A321neo at the airport and further strengthen its position as Luton’s largest operator. The move supports long-term growth at the airport and underpins Wizz Air UK’s expansion strategy in the London market.

From June 2026, Wizz Air will launch six new routes from London Luton to Alicante, Lyon, Corfu, Faro, Turin and Yerevan. The Yerevan service marks the first-ever direct connection between London and Armenia, while the other routes expand Wizz Air’s leisure and year-round city network across Southern and Western Europe.

With the additional aircraft, Wizz Air will offer flights to 66 destinations from Luton next summer. The airline said the expansion will create local jobs, improve connectivity, and deliver lower fares using its latest-generation aircraft, reinforcing Luton’s role as a key UK gateway ahead of summer 2026.
