Wizz Air will launch a new route between Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST) and Lublin, Poland—the European Capital of Culture 2029—starting March 30, 2026, with twice-weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays.
The route marks the fifth destination announced since Wizz Air and MAA began their five-year partnership in July 2025. By the end of this month, the airline will begin operations from Maastricht to Chisinau, Bucharest, and Tuzla, with Katowice and Lublin joining at the start of the summer schedule.
Flights will be operated with the Airbus A321neo, offering 239 seats and lower emissions. MAA officials highlighted the new route as a major boost to the airport’s growth strategy toward 600,000 passengers and 200,000 tonnes of freight by 2030, while Wizz Air emphasised its commitment to affordable and sustainable travel.
The new connection also offers Dutch travellers a gateway to Lublin’s historic and multicultural heritage, reinforcing both Wizz Air’s and MAA’s roles in expanding regional connectivity across Europe.
