Wizz Air adds four new Adriatic routes from Poland for summer 2026, launches Rijeka as a new network station

Wizz Air is expanding its Polish network for summer 2026 with four new leisure routes to Croatia and Italy, including the debut of Rijeka as an entirely new station in the airline’s network. The low-cost carrier will launch direct services from Gda?sk, Katowice and Lublin to Rijeka, along with a new Katowice–Rimini route, offering travellers more choice for seaside holidays on the Adriatic.

The new routes—operated two to three times weekly from late March or early June—will be flown using the airline’s Airbus A321neo aircraft, which Wizz Air highlights for their lower environmental footprint per seat. Tickets are already on sale.

The expansion brings Croatian port city Rijeka into Wizz Air’s network for the first time. Located on the Kvarner Gulf, Rijeka offers a mix of historic architecture, a vibrant waterfront and quick access to beaches and nearby islands. Rimini, meanwhile, adds another Italian destination to the carrier’s portfolio, offering wide sandy beaches, a lively Old Town and proximity to San Marino and the Emilia-Romagna region.

The announcement continues Wizz Air’s broad growth across Poland, where it has markedly increased its presence in 2025 with new aircraft deployments and multiple additional routes from key bases. The airline now operates 35 aircraft across Poland, serving more than 215 routes in 32 countries. Between January and November 2025, Wizz Air carried nearly 13 million passengers to and from Poland—a 20% year-on-year increase—while maintaining a completion rate of 99.8%.
