Wizz Air has announced the reopening of its direct route between Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and Billund, Denmark. Flights will resume on 27 October 2025 and will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays. Tickets are now available through the airline’s website and mobile app, with base fares starting from RON 99.99 (one-way, including non-optional fees).
The Billund route was previously suspended in February 2023. Its reinstatement marks part of Wizz Air’s efforts to expand its network from Cluj-Napoca. According to representatives from Cluj International Airport, this destination has been among the most requested by passengers in the region, particularly due to its appeal to both leisure travellers and families.
With this update, Wizz Air now offers 37 destinations across 14 countries from Cluj-Napoca. Local authorities expect that the route’s return will support both tourism and economic exchange between the regions of Transylvania and southern Denmark. Billund is known as the home of LEGOLAND and other family-oriented attractions, such as the LEGO House and Lalandia Water Park.
