Wizz Air will further strengthen its presence at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with the launch of a new direct service to Tirana, Albania. Starting March 2, 2026, the route will be operated four times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays – with an Airbus A321.
The Hungarian low-cost carrier now offers four routes from Stockholm Arlanda, enhancing connectivity between Sweden and Eastern Europe.
Elizabeth Axtelius, Director Aviation Business at Swedavia, welcomed the announcement, noting that Wizz Air’s continued expansion demonstrates strong demand for international travel and plays an important role in connecting Sweden with key markets in Eastern Europe.
Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Corporate Communication Manager at Wizz Air, highlighted the airline’s commitment to providing affordable and convenient travel options, while offering passengers new opportunities to discover Tirana’s cultural and natural attractions, as well as Stockholm’s Nordic charm.
