Volotea offers more than 14,000 seats for this year in this new route and more than 100 flights, with a frequency of 2 flights per week, every Wednesday and Saturday. A Boeing 717 will operate this route from April to October. The airline offers a special promotion with flights from €9 for this summer through its website.
Edo Friart, International Business Development Director of Volotea, has expressed his satisfaction for starting the operations in Luxembourg:
We are happy to see Volotea aircraft taking off from now at Luxembourg airport. We hope to see many Luxembourgers on board visiting the beautiful city of Nice.
On behalf of the Luxembourg Airport, Johan Vanneste added:
It is a pleasure for us to welcome Volotea to the LUX airline family. The competitive offer of Volotea is a perfect match with our competitive airport products like e.g. the economy car park starting from 5 €/day and the long range coaches driving to Belgium, Germany and France starting from 5€ one-way.
