AirBridgeCargo Airlines gears up transportation of 40 Maserati Quattroporte luxury cars

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has operated two consecutive charters carrying 40 brand new Maserati Quattroporte luxury cars.

Two ad hoc flights, chartered by ABC’s long-standing customer, Agility Logistics (Italy), were performed onboard Boeing 747-8Fs from Milan, Italy, to Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum (APEC) 2018. The vehicles are being used for the comfortable and safe transfers of key representatives of the participating countries.

ABC’s dedicated team of highly-skilled and experienced professionals strictly followed all internal procedures to guarantee the secure and seamless transportation of the luxury vehicles. 20 cars, jacketed in white protective covers, were carefully loaded onto each Boeing 747-8F flight under the close supervision of AirBridgeCargo’s loadmasters to ensure they arrived in perfect condition, ready to provide high-end chauffeuring services during APEC 2018.

“It is not the first time we have worked with Agility Logistics to transport Maserati cars and we are delighted to have been given this latest opportunity to provide another red-carpet service for these luxury sports vehicles. With the special procedures and processes we have in place, as well as the availability and expertise of ABC’s loading specialists, the ‘head-to-toe’ preliminary work completed ahead of both charter flights ensured they were operated in full compliance with the customer’s and the shipper’s requirements. We continue to see growth in demand for our services from the automotive industry as well as from customers across all of the major sectors we support and this puts us on course for another successful year of growth,” commented Sergey Lazarev, General Director of AirBridgeCargo Airlines.

In the first 8 months of 2018, AirBridgeCargo transported more than 40,000 tonnes of automotive cargoes and spare parts, reflecting the airline’s reputation as a reliable partner to leading customers in this sector and its continued commitment to meeting the delivery requirements of global automotive businesses.
